Soo Wincci's MV in Sarawak

i just got back from Brunei and saw Bjarne Wong's invitation to all sarawakian to come for the casting for Ms. World Malaysia, Soo Wincci's upcoming MV titled Seen ( 看見 kan jian ) on Facebook. So I send the director an email to which he replies I can come over to give it a shot and so I did.

I went online to book for a flight but there was no flight as i only got the news a day before the audition. I was asking a good friend and he told me that he has a friend working at the bus station. Edi called and helped me book the ticket and so, i rushed home to pack and dash off to the bus station. I took the 2pm bus... after 14 hrs journey, i finally reached Kuching @ 5:30am..

meeting both eldest sister and her son and 2nd sister and her family was refreshing.. i miss them so so much... :) they dropped me off at the Level Up fitness to which the audition is going to take place early... I always love to be early so I was very early.. lol... anyways, i made some inquiries regarding the gym and to my luck, its their open day.. but to my dismay, i didn't bring any proper attire for workout... but guy, no worries, they rent out clothings at RM10 to which u have to return ya.... hahaha... anyways, i did some workout and met Kiu, a local bodybuilder who had just competed for Mr. Sarawak.. he's a lecturer at Limkokwing sarawak campus :P anyways, the gym is pretty complete cept for the smith machine which i found out later the reason for its disfunctional reasons.. is one of the member dropped it too hard that the bars bent... lol

anyways, the audition starts.. there were quite a number of participant which turns up... some are really hilarious during the tryouts to which i find really entertaining :) they are all good.. hahaha... one came just to have Soo's signature.. he came in with a pirate eye patch.. and he even announce his motive... :P I got the place eventually and not only that, i won many friendships too... great winning....

the wardrobe fitting came the next day after the press conference... i had a day shoot with them around kuching.. 1st stop was Bau, somewhere near wind cave.. and they we moved on to Bjarne's family resort which has great scenery... and we made our way back to town where we shot at the old court and Hilton itself... we did some shoots at the hotel on the 2nd day... well, watch the MV to find out more on the details ..... :P don't wanna reveal much here eh :P

anyways... every1's curious on what my diet is like during the shoot.. well, i didn't have much of a choice so i only took steamed chicken breast rice.. of course, less or no rice :P all the way.. hahaha..... and i even had the opportunity to test the Hilton gym... "IT SUCKS" lol... the service as well as the service attendant weren't at all friendly to house guest....

I learnt a lot from the whole production.. especially from Alwyn of the Panasonic G-team... the whole shoot was fun.. anyways, last but not least...

Pumping Fierce

staying in line till i my calling comes.. rite now i'm only maintaining what i have to and sometimes when im crazy, i just pump harder... but lately, i've been pretty much wild in the gym with non-stop remix of pumps... even scared 3 kids who were playing basketball with my suction techniques :P hahaha....

since recovery is in the process... i've been sick for the past couple of days.. down on flu, sore throat and fever... and no.. its not H1N1... lol... im just allergic to dust and furthermore, since my body fats is at 3.9% .. practically only 2.5kg, i can't stand the cold air-con ..... and so, i fell sick... anyways, yesterday, i was pumping hard with my good fren Eddie @ X-Gym, Miri... almost fainted after a heavy supersets... out of the blue, my oxygen was cut off and blood pressure kinda dropped and I just fell onto the floor.. but recovery was a speedy 1.... i guess its the adrenalin rush and my lack of oxygen due to flu cuts off everything.... oh well, word of advice... don't take hardcore supplements when ur sick :P hahaha.... oh well, i survive another day... :)

hahaha.... well, it was my mistake for wearing a slipper to a shoot.. cause we were shooting in a jungle camp and full-covered shoes is not what u would wanna wear especially when i was raining the whole time and getting frozen toes.. anyways, it was the last day for me that day and while trying to get the tiki lights to burn with a "Whatever we can find" fuse around the corner... we actually got a thin rope which has plastic as one of the material.. i saw the way it burnt so i think it ain't working out.. while trying to pull it out with the pliers, the rope broke and the burning plastic part fell onto my foot and man... the feeling was out of this world as the burning plastic sticks to the skin... jumping around like a monkey obviously din help.. neither did it help when i try to swap it away with my fingers as it got stuck to my fingers instead... hahaha... i had to hold it all back and not to scream as they were still shooting... hahaha.... anyways, once they called a cut, i walked hastily towards the river and try to ease the pain in the cole

There is an old chinese saying - prepare the umbrella before the rain ... I may be resting from the local entertainment industry but who says anything bout quitting? hahaha... i'll maintain myself in the best physics till that day come.. my 2nd season..

Sometimes its a little hard to do so when dad is not agreeing to what i believe and planned for the future. None of which will affect me as I'm not doing what I'm doing now to impress anyone, I'm doing it cause I believe in my course of action and my dream.

Lost 4 kgs while shooting in Kuala Lumpur for KINKS (http://www.kinksthemovie.com/) not cause they starve me.. food was ample bt i strictly stick to my planned diet of Oatmeal + Skimmed milk or Wholemeal Bread + peanut butter.. on and off i will have some rice and vege but most of which i'll keep to my diet plan. but din planned to lose that much of weight.. anyhow, i managed to get ripper along the process.. with deeper cuts on the mid section.

guilty as charge on my last day as I have a great lunch with someone very special to me @ Delicious, Bangsar Village. I had a very richly cheese covered carbonara pasta and 2 forkfull macadamia cheese cake and a heart attack session ... hahaha... but a lunch i'll never forget ms sunshine :)

sigh, now i've to pack some carbs to bulk up just a little so i don look too skinny

After 2 consecutive days of fight scene which came to a halt due to the monsoon rain which was on time daily at 3pm, we weren't able to finish the shoot and furthermore, some of the cast going outstation and conti's not applicable due to our full-time work. I had couple more drama's and films shoot which requires me to have a conti, Pui have to cut his hair for a film conti and my schedule been packing real tight with the rest of the crew as well. But not all was in vain, we have really good shots but incomplete due to some missing links in between. So I can only make the best of what we have and try to make clips out of it cause all the actors did very well that day..

Right now I'm working on a "New" Scars... well Version 2.. this time, there will b professional help... the script is halfway through... and there are more time for the preparations... I know this time we will hit the jackpot..... stay tune for more....

here i would like to ask for the forgiveness of the crews and cast who are involve in "Scars V.1" But as said, i'll make the best out of it so that it can be included in your filmography :)

Sybil is a war hero (nurse) during the Japanese occupation in Malaya. She is mostly known in Ipoh for her saint works where she was nursing the wounded and helping the resistance to fight off the Japanese.

RedCom is now shooting the drama in Perak, mostly in Papan, Ipoh and some of the nearby forest and jungle. The Drama will be aired on Astro Citra in March 2010 which is a subscribe channel.

I am given the opportunity to play one of the important role in this drama as one of the Resistance, Pasukan Tiga Bintang (The 3 stars) or more known as the communist who fiercely tries to fight off the Japanese.

I play Mak Lai Chai, a notorious, uneducated, brute and unreasonable officer who distrust anyone who have ever come in contact with the Japanese and only resolve to one solution to the matter, "DEATH" It's fun to play character like such cause i get to release all the anger inside... muahahaha.....

Well, as everyone knows, I'll be going back to Miri where my family is but that doesn't mean i'm going to give up my dream. I'll just be missing from the local Malaysian Industry but I'll be working hard to keep myself in the world industry.

It might not be so soon as I need to sow before I can harvest. I'm going to keep writing and preparing while working full-time to gather capital for shoot.

currently I'm writing a sitcom which is planned to be 20 episode of 10 minutes each for season 1. But I'll be doing short film shoots till I gather enough capital for the sitcom. Scars

It's been a while since I last blogged. I've been busy, been around, been emo-ing, been thinking, planning......... lots of things have been in my mind for the past couple of months. things which i need to change right after CNY. something which I hate to do, is to choose between family and career. I love my family and career is my life. but sad to say, family and career can't be in the same town... but who says anything is fair.. lol. i just wish i can be home with my family and hug them every morning i see them at the breakfast table. I miss home so so much. I would give up my life just to be with them.

By creating "Chaotic Baboons Films" I will be bringing my career where very I go. which is right now, still in a bit of the shadows where all the creature of the abyss is dwelling... lol.... but anyhow, CBF shot her 1st short film on the 26th and 27th Dec 2009... right after Christmas and just before End of the Year.... lol... "Scars" is the 1st offspring not my personal 1st project with He-man (In Search of Life). we got a lot of talented people working on this No Budget Project which I'm very grateful to.

"Scars" epd 1 has not been fully shot due to the bad weather and our hectic schedule and furthermore, one of our cast will be leaving to further his studies. So in order not to put every1's effort to waste, I'll try to make a teaser out of it... still in the planning... if all the footage is enough to make it :P (That teach me a lesson not to shoot outdoor scene at the end of the year with no budget) Hahaha....

Am Writing another project which will only take place after CNY 2010. This time, i'm keeping it a little more simple with just one static location. I've not decided where i'll have it since my future is still among the mist. but anything goes, its either Miri or Ipoh. It's going to be a sitcom... yeah, i know, i know... "Another Sitcom?" hahaha... but hey, im a producer under budget... and in order for me to score my dream, I've to think creatively and budgetly.... lol
